THE CALAIS FOUNDATION SUPPORTS AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAMS FOR STUDENTS K-12 WITH MULTIPLE DISABILITIES OFFERED TO THE COMMUNITY
Do you know a child who sits home after school feeling alone and bored? Some children have difficulty making friends and fitting in with peers at their community school. A new service is available for students who need an enrichment program with fun activities after school.
The Calais School is proud to announce a new activities based, social skills enrichment program designed specifically for students with multiple learning disabilities in grades K-12. The program will provide a safe environment in addition to a meaningful, quality extension to the school day. The program will help ensure that students continue to develop academic, social, communication, and life skills essential to success.
We offer a wide variety of academic support, art, music, drama, and sports related activities integrated with social skills development. The program being offered is designed specifically to address the needs, abilities, and interest of the students. Teachers, teaching assistants, counselors, and qualified instructors will be working with the students.
